Some of you might already know that we have a "translation stop" since we are now preparing the data for upload in Ambaradan. The first step was to clean double entries and similar stuff from the spreadsheet, get some more proofreading done etc. Nilli helped a lot with the double entries :-)
Some "history":

UNESCO, on 17 November 1999 proclaimed the 21 February to be the International Mother Language Day
For 2010 Vox Humanitatis invites schools, associations, families, groups of friends throughout the world to participate in this very particular day by dedicating it to the local language used by the population.
What happens when you get a great distro, good software and good contents together when it comes to education? Potentially something really strong.
Vox Humanitatis is about less resourced cultures, including education in their languages.
Many kids have never seen their mother language as written. They need to learn to write by single words. Many potential teachers, too, never saw their written mother language. They cannot "simply teach" in a language they cannot write, they need to learn it first. The world needs educational material "on all levels".
We reached the stage where more and more people help us and we need to make sure that the invested time is being used as well as possible. This means we need to avoid double work and a clear organisational structure is needed.
Following our no double effor principle we wish to co-operate as much as possible with already existing teams, for example for technical aspects and User Interface localisation.
Vox Humanitatis will mainly care about contents creation and the localization/translation of it.
