Worldwide - Create a comparative wordlist for Franconian

Franconian, ISO639-3 code vmf, is an endangered language following UNESCO. There is no such thing as a "proper way of writing", nonetheless most of what is said in Franconian is mutually understandable from one region to the other. Mainly vowels change. This comparative wordlist where over time hopefully many people will co-operate shall serve not only for linguistic research, but to find out our "common vocabulary" and going ahead adding more and more to it hopefully we will also be able to create various spell checkers where each of us then can choose the "own variation".

By helping the language to survive also the connected culture will survive. Of course much more than just a wordlist is needed :-) well one step at a time, right?

If you are Franconian, come in and join us in our adventure.

Starting point for this idea was the Facebook group Bamberg talks English and Fränkisch

And this is our table which today, on 16 February 2010 is still very empty: table
